Yogis among us will know about Tulum as a booming yoga retreat destination. With its pristine oceanside retreat venues, boutique hotels, spiritual and natural vibe and a great number of good teachers it’s no wonder that Tulum became a well-known yoga retreat hotspot.
But where do you find these great teachers, beautiful yoga studios and spiritual vibes if you just want to drop into class while passing through Tulum?
Or what if you don’t want to spend thousands of dollars for a retreat but value a good class in the morning or evening? The following studios in Tulum town offer the best variety of yoga classes at around 15 USD per class. Not bad, right?
Here’s a short list of established go-to yoga studios in Tulum and why you should get your yoga on with them.
Tribal yoga is conveniently located near the entrance road to Tulum’s newest development Aldea Zama. Tribal Yoga offers AM and PM classes, 7 days a week, and the styles vary from flow to Iyengar to restorative yoga.
Owner Joanne gathered a fantastic tribe of knowledgeable teachers around her, for every class to be a truly valuable experience. The wooden floors and oversized windows make the studio a very comfortable space. Drop-ins are 15 USD, and Tribal Yoga offers different packages with more than just 1 class. In the same building as the studio, you’ll find lofts and a dive school to complete your Tulum-experience.
Yoga Dicha has been Tulum’s yoga studio since 2013: from before the hype. Owner Richelle is a passionate and experienced yogini that obviously pours her heart into her space.
Richelle’s signature style, Aligned Flow, and other teachings of vinyasa, restorative, yin, and power yoga, classes are also available. Dicha opens seven days a week in the mornings and early evenings, and you’ll absolutely feel at home, even as a drop-in student.
Next, to the regular schedule, Yoga Dicha offers a wide range of teacher training and events throughout the year and drop-in’s are only 15 USD per class.
With its art-walk, restaurant, spa, pool and hotel, Holistika is so much more than a yoga studio. It’s a holistic center with a guaranteed magical experience for its visitors.
Check their facebook page for class offerings throughout the week. On the schedule there is a solid rotation of internationally known and experienced teachers in various yoga styles, often visiting Tulum for the season or for a special program. Drop-in classes are 250 MX pesos: equivalent to 15 USD.
